The shop
Where we are, when we open, and how we work.
- Where is Raja Footwear located?
- We are on Main Road Tali, Waidhan, Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh 486886. The showroom is on the main road, easy to reach from anywhere in Waidhan and Singrauli, with parking on the street outside.
- What are your opening hours?
- Open every day, 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM. We stay open through the day, so you can visit any time that suits you — including Sundays and most public holidays.
- Do you sell footwear online or only in store?
- We are a showroom, not an online store. Browse the range here, then visit us to try pairs on and buy. If you want to check whether something is in stock before travelling, call or WhatsApp us and we will look for you.
- Which brands do you stock?
- We carry recognised national footwear brands across formal, casual and sports ranges, alongside good-value options. Stock changes with the season, so call us if you are looking for something specific.
- Do you have footwear for the whole family?
- Yes. Men, women and children are all catered for under one roof — formal shoes, ladies sandals and heels, school and sports shoes, and everyday chappals — plus socks and shoe care products.
- Do you accept card and UPI payments?
- Yes, we accept cash, UPI and card payments at the counter.

- How do I reach the shop from Singrauli?
- We are on Main Road Tali in Waidhan, on the main road and easy to find. Tap "Get directions" on this page to open turn-by-turn navigation in Google Maps.
- Can I check whether something is in stock before visiting?
- Yes, and we would rather you did than make a wasted trip. Call +91 78988 05732 or send us a WhatsApp message with the style and size, and we will check the shelves for you.
- Is there parking near the shop?
- There is street parking directly outside the showroom on Main Road Tali.
- Do you deliver?
- We are a walk-in showroom and do not run a delivery service. For anything you have already discussed with us on WhatsApp, speak to the counter and we will see what we can arrange locally.
Sizing & fit
Indian versus UK sizes, measuring, and what to do between sizes.
- Is Indian shoe size the same as UK size?
- For adults, yes — Indian sizing follows the UK scale, so an Indian 8 is a UK 8. The two are used interchangeably on boxes sold here. US sizes run about one number higher, and EU sizes are on a completely different scale.
- What is UK size 8 in centimetres?
- A men's UK 8 is roughly 26.5 cm of foot length, and a women's UK 8 is roughly 26.2 cm. Because the two scales differ, always check the chart for the right one.
- Should I size up if I am between sizes?
- Usually yes — go to the larger size and take up the small amount of extra room with a slightly thicker sock or an insole. A shoe that is marginally too big can be adjusted; one that is too small cannot.
- Why does the same size fit differently in different brands?
- Every manufacturer builds around its own last, which is the mould that gives a shoe its shape. Two shoes both marked UK 9 can differ by several millimetres in length and noticeably in width. Treat the number as a starting point, not a guarantee — this is exactly why trying a pair on beats ordering blind.
- How much room should there be at the toe?
- About a thumb-width — roughly half a centimetre — between your longest toe and the end of the shoe when you are standing. Any less and your toes hit the front going downhill; much more and your heel starts to slip.
- How often should children’s feet be measured?
- Every three to four months up to about age five, and every six months after that. Children rarely complain that shoes are tight until the fit is well past due, because their feet adapt to the shoe rather than the other way round.

- We carry UK sizes 6 through 12 across most styles. If your size is out of stock we can usually arrange it within a few days — just ask at the counter or call us.
- Do you sell branded shoes or local ones?
- Both. We stock recognised national footwear brands alongside well-made value options, so you can choose what suits your budget.
- Can I exchange shoes if the size is wrong?
- Yes. Bring the shoes back unworn with the box and bill and we will exchange them for the correct size.

- Do you have footwear to match a wedding outfit?
- Yes — we keep a dedicated party and bridal range through the wedding season. Bring a photo or a fabric sample and we will help you match the shade.
- What ladies sizes do you carry?
- UK sizes 4 to 9 across most designs, including wider fittings in our comfort range.
- Do you stock comfortable footwear for standing all day?
- We do — ask for our cushioned-sole bellies and orthopaedic-style sandals, which are popular with teachers and shop staff.

- Yes. We stock the standard black and white patterns that schools in Waidhan and Singrauli require. Tell us the school name and we will show you the right style.
- What is the best time to buy school shoes?
- Just before the session opens, when our full size range is in stock. Later in the term the popular sizes sell out quickly.
- Do you stock small children’s sizes?
- We carry sizes from small kids (10C) right through to adult sizes, so the whole family can buy in one visit.

- Do you sell chappals for the whole family?
- Yes — men, women and children, from basic everyday pairs to cushioned comfort ranges.
- Do you have anti-slip slippers for elderly family members?
- We keep a comfort range with soft footbeds and anti-slip soles that is popular with older customers. Ask our staff to show you these.
- What footwear works best in the monsoon?
- Rubber and EVA designs — they dry quickly and grip wet floors. We stock these year round and increase the range before the rains.
Brands
What we stock, whether it is genuine, and finding a specific model.
- Are these genuine branded shoes?
- Yes. Every pair comes with its original box and a bill. Keep the bill — it is what you need if there is ever a manufacturing complaint, and it is what lets us take the matter up with the brand.
- Do you have every model from these brands?
- No showroom does. We carry a selected range from each brand and refresh it through the season. If you have seen a particular model online, call or WhatsApp us with the name and we will tell you honestly whether we have it or can get it.
- Which brand is best for standing or walking all day?
- Skechers is what we most often recommend for all-day comfort, with Woodland for anyone who also needs the shoe to survive rough ground. Come in and try both — comfort is personal, and ten minutes in the shop settles it faster than any description.
- Do you stock branded school shoes?
- Yes. Bata and Campus cover most of the black formal and white PT patterns local schools ask for, in the full range of children’s sizes.
Shoe care
Polish, suede, and keeping a pair wearable.
- Which polish should I use on my shoes?
- Match wax or cream to the leather colour, or use neutral if you are unsure — neutral will not darken the leather. Never put wax polish on suede or nubuck; those need a dedicated spray instead. Bring the shoes in if you are not sure what the upper is and we will tell you.
- Do you sell shoe care products separately from shoes?
- Yes, the care stand is open to anyone. You do not need to have bought the shoes from us.
- Can you clean or repair shoes for me?
- We sell the products rather than offer a cleaning or cobbling service. We are happy to show you exactly what to use and how — ask at the counter.
- What do I need to keep a new pair of leather shoes in good condition?
- A brush, a cloth, a colour-matched cream and a tin of neutral polish will cover you for years. Add a conditioner once the shoes are a year old. That is genuinely the whole kit.
